Membership to the Doylestown Art League is required for certain activities, such as our Spring and Fall Art Shows. The cost of membership is for one year. You will be notified, via email, when your membership is up for renewal.

Benefits of Membership
Art Instruction
For a nominal fee, members of the Doylestown Art League may attend hands on art classes taught by well-known artists. Classes in watercolor, oil, pastel, printmaking and sculpture have been warmly received. Usually classes are held one day a week for successive weeks.
DAL Lending Library
Over 200 volumes of art instruction are maintained and kept current by the librarian of the Doylestown Art League. Books may be borrowed, free of charge, for one month, and then returned at the next monthly meeting. Instructional video recordings are also available for a nominal fee.
Trips to Places of Interest
Chartered buses take art league members to museums. art shows and other points of interest at minimal cost. Trips to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art and and the American Watercolor Society annual show at the Salmagundi Club have been exceedingly popular.
Meetings
All meetings of the Doylestown Art League are open to the public. Meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of the month at the James Lorah House, Broad and Main Street (across from the Bucks County Court House) in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. There are no meetings during the summer months. At each meeting, a guest artist will either perform a demonstration of technique or give a presentation of their work. Members Show, Spring & Fall
The Doylestown Art League runs two shows a year to showcase the artwork of its members. Our shows generally run for two to three weeks. Our fall show occurs in November while the spring show generally takes place in April. Cash prizes are awarded for exceptional art in various categories including oil, watercolor, drawing, pastel and sculpture.
Special Exhibits
In addition to the large annual shows, the Doylestown Art League facilitates opportunities for smaller one person or group exhibitions at banks, hospitals and business offices.
