The Princeton University Art Museum is located in Princeton New Jersey, on the university campus. The museum had been closed for several years while undergoing extensive renovations. These have now been completed and the museum has been reopened. With a collecting history that began in 1755, the museum was formally established in 1882, and now houses over 117,000 works of art ranging from antiquity to the contemporary period. A truly amazing collection with even more objects on display thanks to the renovations.
The Art League has arranged a group tour to explore the Museum’s new presentation of its collections. Our tour is scheduled for 1pm Friday April 10. They ask that we meet at the front desk 15-30 minutes prior to that time.
The museum is located on the campus of Princeton University and is a few minutes walk from Nassau Street. This is a self-drive trip and there are parking garages behind Nassau St.
