Pastel Workshop with Elissa Goldberg

In this workshop we will explore the techniques and methods of pastel painting.

Learn how to work with or enhance your skills with pastels. You will be guided through the process of how to create a landscape scene with soft pastels. You will be taught the underpainting process, scumbling, and different layering techniques. No experience necessary…only an interest to learn and have fun. I will paint with you as I provide one on one instruction. You will leave with a finished individualized masterpiece.

All materials are supplied. Bring a smock, or clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

Elissa is a member of the Pastel Society of America. She has been working with pastels for over twenty years. She finds the medium exciting as it is an immediate transfer onto paper. There is no mixing. There are no chemicals. The ideas in her head can be expressed simply and quickly. She has learned over the years how to manipulate the colors in such a way to make them both bold and subtle.
