We meet at the James Lorah Auditorium in Doylestown on the first Thursday of the month. The meetings are free and open to all. Our speaker for the month of September is Alvin Lavoie. Alvin is the current President of the Doylestown Photo Club. Formally from Wisconsin, his professional career was as an industrial chemist. While having a lifelong interest in photography, in retirement, photography has become an almost all encompassing activity. He is most interested in landscape, macroscopic, and night photography. His talk will be an exploration and tour of the tools that may be used to help you tell your story in an image. Starting with a brief discussion of perception, he will present the top eight compositional attributes that he finds lead to stronger and more compelling images. Alvin has participated in and sold pieces at the Doylestown, New Hope and the Tyler Art Fairs over the past several years. Date/Time: Thursday, September 5, 2019 7:30–9:30 pm Location: James-Lorah Auditorium 100 Broad Street Doylestown, PA 18901 (click for map) Organizer: Doylestown Art League
