02apr7:30 pm9:30 pmApril Meeting - Speaker: Jo-Ann Osnoe

We meet at the James Lorah Auditorium on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30pm. The meetings are free and open to all. Our speaker for the month of April is local artist Jo-Ann Osnoe. Her presentation will cover “Twenty Years as a Fine Artist”, covering the evolution of her work from watercolors to oils to the more recent oil & cold wax abstracts. "After painting traditional subject matter in both oil and watercolor for twenty years, I was looking for a new challenge involving a more intuitive process. I began using oil and cold wax in 2019, and found this medium had exactly what I was looking for. With mark making, colors, textures and shapes, I allow the painting to develop with no preconceived idea of the end result. It is a process of experimentation and discovery with an element of surprise. I am able to suggest a story with a bit of mystery left to the viewer’s interpretation." She is represented by the Canal Frame Galley, and by the Chapman Galley.
